Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that supports our growth, enhances our culture, and optimises our talent.

  • Culture and Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive, and dynamic company culture. Implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and productivity.

  • Talent Management: Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent. Develop clear career paths and ensure employees have opportunities for growth and development.

  • Performance Management: Design and implement performance management systems that are fair, consistent, and aligned with our company goals.

  • Learning and Development: Establish a learning culture through the development of programs and initiatives that support ongoing employee development and skill acquisition.

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion DEI efforts throughout the organisation. Implement strategies and practices that ensure a diverse workplace and foster an environment of inclusivity.

  • Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the development and implementation of competitive compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that attract and retain talent.

  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted resource for all team members on various HR matters. Address and resolve employee relations issues with a balanced and fair approach.

  • HR Analytics: Utilise HR analytics to inform decision-making, track key HR metrics, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

  • Manage the HRIS to ensure employee records are recorded and current

  • Compliance: Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with federal, and local employment laws and regulations in both Canada and the United States. 


Who We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or HR certification. 

  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the tech industry.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that have positively impacted company culture and growth.

  • Strong understanding of employment laws, compliance issues, and industry best practices.

  • Willing to be fully hands-on in doing the hard outbound work necessary to find talent

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.

  • A forward-thinker who is adaptive to change and can thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment is desirable.
