In 2022, we launched Spellbook, the first generative AI copilot for lawyers, taking the legal industry by storm. Spellbook helps lawyers quickly draft language, flag risks, and derive insights from legal docs. We've been scaling to keep up with demand ever since and have recently closed a major round of financing.

About the Role:
We seek a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team, primarily focusing on expanding our existing customer base. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in sales and customer success, demonstrating proficiency in building rapport, closing deals, and driving customer expansion initiatives. This role requires a persuasive communicator who is passionate about delivering value to our clients and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Develop and execute strategies to upsell additional licenses and services to existing customers, ultimately driving revenue growth and improving retention rates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations, understanding their needs and aligning solutions to address them effectively.
  • Conduct regular outreach via phone, email, and other channels to engage customers, identify expansion opportunities, and overcome objections.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product, and customer support to ensure seamless execution of expansion initiatives.
  • Develop and implement a playbook for account expansion, leveraging best practices and innovative approaches to drive results.
  • Track and analyze key metrics related to customer expansion efforts, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Maintain and update CRM with deal information and uphold good data hygiene. 
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitor offerings, leveraging insights to enhance our value proposition and competitive positioning.

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales and customer success roles, with a proven track record of success in handling renewals, upsells, and sales functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with clients at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a persuasive demeanour and the ability to effectively articulate value propositions.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities for account expansion.
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and frequent customer calls and interactions, demonstrating resilience and persistence in achieving goals.
  • Preference for candidates with Sandler sales training or similar methodologies, possessing a structured and consultative approach to sales.
  • Experience working with Hubspot or similar CRMs
  • Adaptable and comfortable with early-stage start-up dynamics and growing pains
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
